One of the facilities provided by University Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN) is transportation.  UNITEN having a good transportation system, it is provided for all staff and student of this university especially those who does not having their own vehicle.

At Putrajaya Campus of UNITEN, we are having two big bus and a few numbers of minibus with air conditioner and there are total number of seven bus stops around the university area. There are two different shuttle bus services provided by UNITEN, that are internal shuttle and external shuttle.

For the internal shuttle services, the buses would travel by two different route from Monday to Friday including examination week, that is Route A and Route B. Click  Route A or Route B for the schedule of the internal shuttle bus services.    

For the external shuttle services, the buses would travel from UNITEN to Commuter Station (Serdang) and The Mines shopping mall everyday including weekends. It is simple and easy to enjoy this services, the students and staffs just need to buy a RM1.50 ticket for a single journey or RM3.00 ticket (Two RM1.50 tickets) for a return journey from Payment Counter, first floor of Administrative Building. As we mention at the Programs category, University Tenaga National (UNITEN). Putrajaya Campus are divided into two colleges. The first one will be College of Engineering (COE) and the second one will be College of Information Technology (COIT). Both of this colleges won a number of accolades and awards for Uniten. The accolade that I feel really proud of is the Prime Mister Award won in year 2009. Besides that, the most recent accolade that makes me happy as Uniten student is that we have successfully collected eleven out of fourteen medals at Malaysia Technology Expo 2010. Is a great achievement as this event is known as Malaysia's Largest Science and Technology Event.

Thanks to all the accolade that Uniten archived all the time, this make certificate of Uniten world-wide known and it will be easier for student in Uniten to get their job. Once we mention that we are from Uniten, the employee will have a better impression for us due to all kind of achievement made. Is the same situation where people will choose to listen to songs that produced by people that won many awards than songs that produced by some unknown or a normal people like you and me. I feel so lucky to be part of Uniten. The main reason to i feel so special to study at Uniten is that Uniten have been received many prestigious educational awards since it was established on 1999.

Education Award from IMecheE!!

I am quite impressed with one of the prestigious award received by Uniten for education which is IMecheE Accreditation.
The Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering (Honours) programme at Uniten has achieved international accreditation from the prestigious Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) UK.It is proud to say that the Mechanical Engineering programme has been award the full 5 years recognition in meeting the exemplifying academic benchmark requirements of IMechE. UK presented the accreditation certificate to Uniten and launched the IMechE-Uniten Student Chapter on 3rd April 2008.

The award received enables Uniten mechanical engineering to be same league with other similar degrees obtained from schools of engineering in United Kingdom.This achievement quite impressed me as Uniten has same standard in mechanical engineering course from UK

schools of engineering.This recognition is clearly an additional achievement to Uniten being one of the two universities in the country which received this award from IMechE.

Whilst Uniten IMechE Student Chapter, established in April 2008 is the brainchild of the current president and founder, Dominic Hua Shi Hao.The main purpose of this Student Chapter is to encourage and support students involvement in the field of mechanical engineering activities are expected to promote competencies such as communication, management and leadership.

Research Award for COE

To be able to get a Research Award will be a great honor to us as it will help us in our working life to make us different from other people that just has a Bachelor Certification.

Although the COE Solar Ranger team did not win the race in Australia but it is also an experience not to be forgotten. It shows that UNITEN is good in the Engineering field than other local University.

There are two campus in Malaysia of University Tenaga National (Uniten). One fall at Putrajaya and the other one at Muadzam Shah. Both of this campus offered different kind of programmes.

== Putrajaya Campus Programmes ==

The duration of the programmes are one year long.

There are a lot of scholarship and sponsorship unit that you can get in Uniten.

All Uniten student are applicable to apply for PTPTN starting from Foundation.

Unlike some other university, they can only apply their PTPTN loan during their Undergraduates. 

In Uniten there is a unit called Sponsorship Unit  to provide financial assistance.
The student loan and scholarships unit (Alumni, Careers, and Sponsorship Centre) is liaison between students and sponsors or other scholarship providing institutions.

Next, I would like to share about the facilities in UNITEN. Student for Software Engineering will spend most of their time studying at College of Information Technology (COIT). COIT is a cooling and wonderful place for studies. There are different lab with different functionality for us to us from day to night. Which means that we can still do our practice if we cant afford a good computer or the original software required. Next, we have our in house cafeteria selling delicious food that are convenient for students that have no private transportation.  Besides that, we have a very nice garden behind the building that student can relax and study there. Lastly, we have lots of study corner with tables for student to study or having group discussion there.

Electrical power engineering considers these applications of electrical energy, together with its generation, transmission and distribution, and the harnessing of sources of renewable and sustainable energy for power generation.

Programs (Electrical Engineering)

The Bachelor of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EE) program is one of the engineering program offered by Uniten can be said as well known around Malaysia due to the professional lecturer that train the Uniten EE students to be well prepared for the outside world.

After the EE students graduated from Uniten, there are a lot of big companies such as Genting Malaysia Berhad has taken in Uniten EE student to manage the Genting Highland electricity. There is also student being hired back by the Tenaga National Berhad to work as the research group.

One of the awards given to Uniten is the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Power Engineering Society(PES) award. The award signifies recognition by IEEE, the world leading professional association for engineering and technology towards Malaysia and also Uniten, throught the involvement of its staff in advancing engineering and technology.

To enter the Bachelor of Electrical and Electronics Engineering program, the student have to first take the Foundation in Engineering with a good SPM result which need at least 4 good credits in Mathematics, Additional Mathematics, Physic and Chemistry. After the Foundation program has been done, the student must have a CGPA of 2.0 and above to enter the Bachelor program. If the student is not a Uniten student which did not take the foundation program from Uniten, the student is required to have taken the MUET exam, STPM, Matriculation, A-levels, diploma from recognized institute, or other equivalent qualifications at the diploma-granting institutions.

There are also a lot of facilities in the College of Engineering like the Robotics Lab, Power Electronics Lab, PCB fabrication lab, Electronics lab, Digital Logic lab and Computer lab. These facilities are to help student in getting the professional knowledge of how to use the equipments and to make a usable product to benefit the community.

So by choosing Uniten's EE programme is the right choice for better education in Electronic Engineering.

**= Bachelor of Computer Science (System & Networking) (Hons) =**

There are quite a number of undergraduates program offered at University Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN), one of the undergraduates program I going to introduce today is Bachelor of Computer Science (System & Networking) under the College Of Information Technology (COIT). This IT field program is offered at UNITEN in Putrajaya Campus. UNITEN is one of the university that offers Bachelor of Computer Science (System & Networking) besides University Malaysia Pahang, Multimedia University, University Of Malaya, and University Teknikal Malaysia Melaka.

COIT of UNITEN had been established as an independent college since 1^st September of 2003. It was a very new college in UNITEN and having good facilities for the students to learning. COIT having 12 computer labs which majority of the personal computers in the labs mainly run on Windows 7 and support application software and computer programming language such as Internet browsing, Microsoft Visual Studio, Microsoft Office and others. There are also total number of 40 classroom and 3 lecture halls provided for the students.

Bachelor of Computer Science (System & Networking) is 1 of the IT program which will provide knowledge and skills to students in the area of communications and networking, operating systems, mobile and embedded technologies, computer security, artificial intelligence and other related areas. The study duration of this program is 3 years which the pre-requisite is the student should finish their 1 year of foundation program. During these 3 years courses it will encompasses at least 9 semester, including 1 semester of industrial training.

There are 12 lecturers from Department of System & Networking, all the lecturers are very friendly, having good qualification and a lot of experience and always prepared to help the students whenever the students needed.

The Bachelor of Electrical and Electronics (EE) Programme is designed to prepare students in the area of communication, electronics, computers, VLSI, signal processing and other related areas. Students will need to excel in their mathematics, calculus, physics and computers so that they are able to catch up in their undergrates study.


Entry Requirement
The entry requirement for the EE programme is to have a Foundation in Engineering certificate or diploma or STPM.
